differentiate between:-
near point and far point of human eye

first this term is from chapter human eye.eye means sensens of vision.near point means nearest point from our eye.a nearest point of eye is 25cm and the far point meant distinct point means infinity .a normal eye have power to see at distance of infinity

The near point is also called Nearsightedness /Myopia

The far point is also called farsightedness /Hypermetropia

In the case of near point eye can see nearby objects cleary but the distant objects appear indistinct .This means that the far point of the eye is not at infinity but shifts closer to the eye

In the case of far point human eye can see distant objects cleary but cannot see near object distinctly .This means that the near point of eye is no longer at 25cm but shifts farther away

In near point , the image of a distant object forms in the front of retina

In far point , the image of nearby objects get formed behind the retina

The near point defect can be corrected by using spectacles with concave lens of proper focal length

The far point defect can be corrected by using convex lens with proper focal length
