Notochord is present in them.

Heart is ventral in them.

Tail is present in them (post anal)

Central nervous system is dorsal and hollow.

Respiration takes place by gills slits.

Fish, mammals etc. are the examples.

» Non - Cordates

Notochord is absent in them.

Heart is present in dorsal side.

Tail is absent in them. (post anal).

Central nervous system is ventral and solid.

Gills slits are absent in them.

Insects, arthropoda etc are the examples.
