As adjectives the difference between alphanumeric and numeric. is that alphanumeric is consisting of, or limited to, letters and/or numbers, especially the characters a to z .i.e. lowercase and uppercase and while numeric is of, or relating to numbers, especially the characters.

Numeric is 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 

Alpha numeric is 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,...
