Differentiate between ordered list and unordered list with examples. Also tell which type of list styles are used with both of them?

Difference between ordered and unordered list?

This is going to be a simple yes no question to confirm if what I understand is correct.  

•Unordered list are basically any point form list like in a word processor using dots to list items;  

•while ordered list are list that categorized the list according to a, b, c or 1, 2, 3.  

Am I correct?

unordered list, also known as bulleted list, do not have specific order of list items.
