Organic compounds,
- They are compounds essentially having having carbon atoms in the structure along with other atoms.
- They mainly show covalent bonding.
- Essentially have C and H hydrogen atoms.
- Most compounds are colourless.
- Most do not dissolve in water due to their hydrophobicity.
Inorganic compounds,
- They are compounds that do not essentially have carbon atoms in their structure.
- Show ionic bonding along with covalent bonding.
- Can have any atom except C and H directly bonded together.
- Most compounds are colourful.
- Most can dissolve in water due to the presence of ionic bonds.
