Differentiate between Organised and Unorganised Sectors.. Give examples.. :)

Organised sectors

☺paid leave
☺gives some basic facilities like drinking water, restroom, canteen etc
☺provides provident fund
☺after retiring they give some pensions
☺work is permanent
☺eg:-person working in bank, teacher etc


Unorganised sector

☺not paid leave...they won't give money when they dont work
☺does not give any facilities
☺work is temporary
☺eg:- landless labour(in rural area)
casual labour(in cities)

Organised sector
(i)The sector is registered by the government.
(ii) The terms of employment are regular.
(iii) The sector is governed by various laws such as the Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc.
(iv) This sector includes banks, hospitals, schools, etc.
Unorganised sector
(i) The sector is not registered by the government.
(ii) The terms of employment are not regular.
(iii) The sector is not governed by any act.
(iv) This sector includes a large number of people who are employed on their own doing small jobs, etc.
