earlier human beings used stones as tools for hunting and other purposes.the period which they used stones as tools is called as stone age.stone age is divided into three periods; paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic periods. Difference Between paleolithic and Mesolithic is :
in paleolithic age, human beings used rough stones as their tools. stones were not polished in that age.
in Mesolithic age , human beings understood that if the stones are polished, it will be easier to hunt and other purposes.So they polished the stones.
