1. Parenchyma cells : i) It is found in the soft parts of the plants

ii) Parenchyma cells contain flexible, thin cell walls, which are made up of cellulose.

iii) Parenchyma cells stores water, waste products, and ions.

2. Collenchyma cell : i) It is found in petiole , leaves and young stem

ii) The cell wall of the collenchyma cells is unevenly thick due to the deposition of cellulose and pectin

iii) Collenchyma cell provides mechanical support to the plant, resisting bending and stretching by the wind

3. Sclrenchyma cell : i) Sclerenchyma cells are found in mature parts of plants like wood

ii) Sclerenchyma consists of a thick and rigid cell wall.

iii) It provides mechanical support, protection and transportation of water and nutrients are the major functions of sclerenchyma.
