Physical and Chemical change

Explanation:

  • Physical change refers to the reactions from which any new substances are not formed.  In contrast, chemical change refers to the reactions where the new substances are formed.  
  • Physical changes can occur anywhere and not restricted to happen only within the chemical laboratory. It affects only the physical properties of the material.  Examples - Tearing of a paper,  changing of ice into water etc .
  • Chemical changes are mostly permanent. It always require and produce energy molecules.  Example - Burning of a matchstick, curd formation etc .
