In a plane reflection some light is absorbed and some are reflected back ,but when it hits the surface it reflects back parallel to each other for eg. We are able to see our picture in water because it is a plane surface .

But , in a diffused reflection when light hits the surface it reflects back not in a parallel way and it does not absorb any light
