  1. Primary Activities - it includes the extraction of raw materials from the earth's surface . The main primary activities are hunting , fishing , gathering etc.
  2. Secondary Activities - it includes the processing of raw materials and converting them into finished goods of higher value . The main secondary activities are industries such as steel from iron ore and weaving cloth .
  3. Tertiary Activities - it includes all types of service which support the primary and secondary activities . The main tertiary activities are trade , education , banking , insurance and advertising.
