As mentioned above, in most cases, the blood within your arteries is oxygenated. The exception to this rule is found in the pulmonary arteries, which carry deoxygenated blood away from your heart to your lungs, where it will become oxygenated before returning to your heart through thepulmonary veins.

Pulmonary artery is the only artery which takes deoxygenated blood and pulmonary vein is the only vein which takes oxgygenated blood to diff. parts.
