Answer:

A receptor detects the stimuli and converts it into an impulse and an effector converts the impulse into an action. An example of a receptor is a light receptor in the eye which detects changes in light in the environment. An example of an effector is a muscle.

❤️Receptor ❤️

✳️Receptors are special structures located on the different parts of the body that are capable of recognizing and receiving messages.

✳️For example - olfactory receptors for detecting smell, gustatory receptors for detecting taste, etc.

❤️Effector ❤️

✳️Those cells which produce response after receiving a particular stimulus are known as effectors.

✳️For example- contraction of muscles for movement of different body parts, release of hormones from glands etc.
