regular reflection takes place on a smooth and highly polished surface and the reflected rays are parallel to each other and image formation takes place.
In case of diffused reflection or irregular reflection, the reflection takes place on an irregular surface and the reflected rays are not parallel to each other . In this case image formation does not take place .
