Answer:RER( rough endoplasmic reticulum ) consists ribosome on it surface where protein are synthesized and further send to Golgi bodies for modification and packaging in vesicles. Where as in SER ( smooth endoplasmic reticulum) synthesis steroids and lipids.) Only .

RER fragments and Golgi bodies also form phragmoplast which synthesis middle lamella in plant cell often RER fragments also maintain nuclear envelope .
