Rayotwari system :-
This system of land revenue was introduced by Thomas munro in Madras in 1820.
This system established a direct settlement between the goverment and ryots.

Mahalwari System :-
Mahalwari system was introduced in 1833 during the period of William Bentick.
In this system, a settlement was made collectively, with groups of villages called Mahal.
