Hey There! A wildlife sanctuary is species oriented. It may concern a plant species or an animal species. Boundaries are not sacrosanct but there is very limited biotic interference allowed. Tourism is permissible to an extent but gene pool conservation is not practiced here. Examples include Kanwar Lake Bird Sanctuary in Bihar, Laokhowa wildlife sanctuary in Assam.

In Biosphere Reserve, Limited Economic activity is allowed; Conservation of biodiversity, landscape and cultural heritage with its sustainable use; "Living Laboratory"  for testing out and demonstrating integrated management of land, water and biodiversity; comes under UNESCO's Man and Biosphere programme nominated by National Governments.
