Saturated hydrocarbons are hydrocarbons that have carbons and hydrogens bonded by only single bond

Eg : Methane CH4

Unsaturated hydrocarbons are hydrocarbons that have carbons and hydrogens bonded by double or triple bond

Eg: Ethene C2H4

Ethyne C2H2
