it's a quantity which is described only by magnitude.eg , speed, time.
vector quantity:
it's a quantity which is described both by magnitude and direction.eg, force, displacement.

QUANTITY HAVING Magnitude with Direction Is known as vector..
QUANTITY HAVING Only Magnitude Quantity knows as SCALER..
FOR EXAMPLE-SPEED HAVE NOT SHOWING ANY DIRECTION IT STATED THAT HOW MUCH SPEED THE DEVICE IS TRAVELLING WHEREAS VELOCITY REQUIRED DIRECTION
