scalar quantity:

it's a quantity which is described only by magnitude.eg , speed, time.

vector quantity:

it's a quantity which is described both by magnitude and direction.eg, force, displacement.

FOR EXAMPLE-SPEED HAVE NOT SHOWING ANY DIRECTION IT STATED THAT HOW MUCH SPEED THE DEVICE IS TRAVELLING WHEREAS VELOCITY REQUIRED DIRECTION
