so in the process of sedimentation substance settles down at the base and through decantation the pure liquid for water is obtained / poured into other vessel..

filtration is a process in which filter paper is used the solid substance get strucked at the filter paper known as residue and the clear liquid passed away from the filter paper known as filterste!!
