Shadow: Whenever the path of light is obstructed by an opaque object, a shadow is casted. Any point source will cast a simple shadow called as “Umbra. whereas what we see as our shadows is the 2D space created when the light is blocked by our bodies. Depending on the direction of light and the angle the size of the shadow changes.
Mirror Image: When considering a plane reflective surface, mirror image is the reflected copy of the object which is identical in all respects but is reversed in a direction perpendicular to the plane surface.
