Difference between soap and detergent are
Soaps
1) soaps are sodium salts of chain carboxylic acid
2)soaps do not form lather with hard water
3) Soaps are biodegradable

Detergent
1) Detergents are sodium salts of long chain sulphonic acids
2) Detergents form lather with hard water
3) They are non-biodegradable
