In saprophytic nutrition, the organism depend upon the dead and decayed matter of plants and animals whereas in parasitic nutrition, the plant depends upon the ready made food of green plants. Saprotrophs such as bread mould create and apply a solution (liquid) on to the bread. Then they suck all the required nutrients. Parasitic plants such as cuscuta have special sucking roots which helps it in sucking the nutrients from the host plant(green plant).
