1. speed is defined as the rate of change of distance.

1 . Velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement.

2 Speed is a scalar quantity.

2. velocity is a vector quantity.

3.Speed can never be negative or zero.

3 Velocity can be negative,zero or posituve.

4.Speed is velocity without direction.

4 Velocity is directed speed.

◆Speed refers to the distance covered by an object in unit time. where as velocity refers to the displacement of the object in unit time.
