Speed is the distance travelled by the object per unit time. It tells us how fast an object is moving. It's SI unit is m/s. It is a scalar quantity that is it only has magnitude.

Velocity is the speed of the object in a certain direction. It's is the displacement of the object per unit time. It is a vector quantity that is , it has both magnitude and direction. It's SI unit is also m/s.
