I. Tide with greatest difference between low and high tide.

ii. Occurs at new moon and full moon.

iii. Gravity of sun and moon pull in same direction.

Neap tide:-

I. Tide with least difference between low and high tide.

ii. Occurs at first and last quarters.

iii. Moon is at right angle to sun.
