Striated/Unstriated is a term used exclusively in bodybuilding to define when a muscle is visibly ‘striated’ through the skin. Common muscles where you can see this is in the glutes, the chest and the quads, due to how long and large the bundles of fibers are. To get that striated look, you have to be well below 10% bodyfat.


Cardiac muscles are muscles that assist your cardiovascular system and is a broad definition that has no likeness to the things you’re trying to compare to.

Striated Muscle ---


Structure -

i) Cells are long, cylindrical, unbranched, multinucleated.


Location -

i) Attached to bones, muscles,neck, facial muscles.


Unstriated Muscle --


Structure -

i) Cells are long with pointed ends and are uninucleated.


Location -

i) Walls of stomach , intestine, bronchi, urinary bladder,iris of eye.


Cardiac Muscle --


Structure -

i) Cells are cylindrical , branched, uninucleated


Location -

i) They are found in heart muscles
