Striated muscles: Each muscle is longer,cylindrical and  multi nucleated.

Shows straitations.

Smooth muscles: Long, flattened, spindle shaped and uni-nucleated.

Does not show straitations.

• Because smooth muscles are found in major parts of the body, the body will be unable to perform significant functions if they are not present.
