Answer:

Emulsion.

An emulsion is similar to a suspension only in that it is a mixture of two components.

That is where the similarities end, however

Unlike a suspension, which can consist of two components of any phase,

an emulsion is a mixture of two liquids.

Explanation:

The best way I can answer your question is to give you an example OK? First one, emulsions are two liquids that are insoluble to EACH other. That is key! The two chemicals liquids repel each other due to surfactants. The do not like to be mixed together hence they form droplets or separate identities when mixed-applied together as an emulsion. And example of this would be oil and vinegar would you apply on salad and they collect vinaigrette.

A solution is we are two chemical elements or liquids are mixed together and form a fine particles missed or spray. They do not resist each other hence they are in solution with each other. Solutions are usually represented in in percentages. For example milk would be 2% solution with fat. Verse it is low fat milk or reduced fat milk. You don’t see separate droplets of fat floating around in your milk because it’s in solution and it’s mixed together because there’s no surfactant or resistance causing them to repel each other. I hope this gives you a better understanding of how chemistry is applied daily in our life by giving you two examples of food which there are many! There are so many more! Take some time the next opportunity you have to look at the different salad dressings for emulsions and then you can go into the drinks sections and see the different solutions that drinks are proportioned out at.
