it is a treatment in which the disease causing microbes are not affected.The treatment only affects the symptoms like fever etc.caused by the disease .which provides the patient with a relaxing affect.
Microbe based treatment 
it is a treatment in which the symptom is not affected.The treatment destroys the disease causing microbe.thus curing the disease of the patient.
