The number of babies born in a particular group of people during a particular period of time is called birth rate.
The ratio of deaths to the population of a particular area or during a particular period of time, usually calculated as the number of deaths per one thousand people per year is called death rate.

Birth rate and death rate are natural causes of population change . the difference between the birth rate and death rate of a country or a place is called the natural increase for example if the birth rate is 14 per 1000 population and the death rate is 8 per 1000 population than the natural increase is = 14 - 8 =6. ..........
