Example- Chlorophyll a
● Accessory pigments are the pigments which are indirectly involved in photosynthesis and are supportive pigments to chl a, they generally transfer energy by trapping sunlight and protect chl a from photo oxidation.
Example- Chlorophyll b, carotenoids, xanthophylls etc.
