Difference between Indus river system and Ganga river system:

Indus river system is located in Jammu and kashmir, himachal pradesh and punjab.

It flows over 2900 kms in length and includes sutluj, beas, ravi, chenab and jhelum.

The highland separates the Indus river system from Ganga river system and it flow from north west to south-west.

• It has fertile land and a dence network of canals for irrigation.

Ganga river system:

Ganga river system is located in Haryana, rajasthan, uttar pradesh, M.P, bihar and west bengal.

• It flows over 1900 kms in lenght. It includes yamuna, gomati, ghaghara, gandak, kosi, chambal betwa, ken and son.

It spreads from ambala in the north-wet to sundarban in the east.

Except in the upper portion irrigation facilities are comparatively less owing to high amount of rainfall.
