(1) In the first stanza the poet remember a small incident that changed his mood. Once the poet was in depressed mood and was hopeless He was standing or passing by the hemlock tree and suddenly, a crow sitting on the tree shook it and some snow From the tree fell on the poet.

(2) While you will see in the second stanza the poet wants to convey that the snow which fell on the poet changed his mood to happiness; earlier he was depressed and sad. Now he starts feeling refreshed and this incident saved some part of the day which he would have spent in regret.
