Differentiate between the following, giving examples:

Answer:

a) stars are giant ball of gas like hydrogen and helium ex: sun and all the stars

constellations is a group of stars which make some shapes ex: orion and ursa major

b) you can copy stars definition from above

planets are made up of rocks ex: earths, mars,venus and mercury but there are some planets which are made of gas like jupiter, uranus,saturn,neptune

d) artificial satellite is man made like weather and network satellites

natural satellies are which orbit around planets like moon

(a) Stars are the celestial bodies made up of gases. They gave their own light and heat.

Ex- polestar, sun, Sun alpha star

whereas constellation are the groups of stars forming imaginary patterns which represents animals,mythological persons etc

ex-ursa major, saptarishi etc.

(b) stars are same written in☝

planets are the celestial bodies which do not have their own light and heat. They are lit by the lights of stars.

ex-earth, Jupitor, Saturn etc

(c) Terrestrial planets- Terrestrial planets have solid surface , and denser Metallic core. They have rocky surface.

Jovian planet-They have gaseous surface with low density metallic core.

(d) Artificial satellite is human made. Itis designed by scientists to gather information about the universe or for communication.

ex - INSAT, EDUSAT, IRS

Natural satellite is a celestial body that moves around the planets in the same way as the planets moves around the sun
