Moderates had a ideology of praying to the British government whereas Radicals had a ideology of strongly protesting. Moderates didn't wanted purna swaraj (Complete Independence) but radicals wanted. Moderates were in favour of British government whereas Radicals believed in supremacy of Indian culture.
