Indian Mountains and UAE Mountains

Explanation:

  • India has 7 major mountain ranges with peaks reaching 1000 meters. The Himalayan area is India's most prominent and highest mountain range. The mountains of the UAE are located in the northern & eastern parts of the Emirates. Compared to India there are fewer mountains in UAE
  • In influencing India's climate, the Himalayans play a major role. By virtue of their high altitude, direction & length, the summer monsoons that come from Bengal's and Arabian Seas are effectively intercepted and precipitated by rain or snow. Due to very less mountains and being in the desert region. In order to raise rainfall the UAE wants to create a "man-made mountain". The Desert Nation hopes that the huge project will replicate the effects of the mountain ranges and compel the air to ascend  creating clouds which will enable cloud-seeding (A kind of change in the weather to change the precipitation type and amount generated by clouds).
  • Many river flows from the Indian mountain, most importantly the Ganges river flows from the Himalayan mountain. However, there are no rivers which flow through UAE mountains. The Arabian peninsula is covered by big mountains  & desert sand with no greenery.
  • Mountains in India are used for habitation, farmers graze their animals on them, and are also used as tourists spots for climbers/trekkers. UAE mountains are not inhabited and are rugged and do not have pasture lands.
  • Indian mountains have plenty of vegetation, whereas there are no or very little mountain vegetation in the UAE
