• Permanent lakes are those whose source of water is mainly a glacier or some perennial river.

•  They are usually fresh water lakes.

• For example - Dal Lake, Wular Lake.


Seasonal Lakes

• Seasonal lakes are usually fed by rainwater.

• They have rainwater.

• For example - lakes in southern region, Badhkal Lak.
