With the different between CO2 is taken by the land plan and desert plant .

The land plant has with their leaves which has tiny pores on their surface and is called as stomata .

They are open only when the plant need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis with no risk of it.

Differentiate between the terrestrial and desert plants in photosynthesis:

Terrestrial plants:

  • Terrestrial plants are grown on the land.
  • They have green leaves that contain the photosynthetic pigment called chlorophyll.
  • The land plants use sunlight and carbon-di-oxide prepare their food.
  • Chlorophyll in the chloroplast absorbs the light energy from the sun and change that into chemical energy.

Desert plants:

  • Desert plants are grown in hot and aridity places.
  • In desert plants, leaves are changed to spines (thorns).
  • Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) photosynthesis takes place.
  • Photosynthesis takes place in stems during night time.
  • In order to avoid water loss, stomata open at night and closes at day time.
