speed : -
- speed may be defined as distance travelled per unit time i.e distance / time .
- It is scalar physical quantity.
- It is always greater or equal to velocity.
- It shows only magnitude.
- It is always positive.
velocity :-
- velocity may be defined as displacement per unit time.
- It is vector physical quantity.
- It is always smaller or equal to speed.
- It shows magnitude as well as direction .
- It can be positive, negative or zero.
