The mature male gametophyte in angiosperm is called the pollen grain. It contain two cells vegetative and generative cell. The vegetative cell is bigger with abundant food reserve and an irregular shaped nucleus.

Generative cell is small, floats in the cytoplasm of the vegetative cell. The generative cell mitically produce two cell which is thn used in double fertilization.
