- The plastic which gets deformed easily on heating and can be bent easily are known as thermoplastic. Ex- PVC, polythene.
- There are some plastics which when moulded once , can not be soften by heating. These are known as thermosetting plastics. ex - bakelite and melamine.

Answer:
The primary physical difference is that thermoplastics can be remelted back into a liquid, whereas thermoset plastics always remain in a permanent solid state. Think of thermoplastics as butter – butter can be melted and cooled multiple times to form various shapes.
