Differentiate between uniform circular motion and uniform linear motion.

The basic difference between uniform linear motion & uniform circular motion is. Uniform Linear Motion: Velocity is constant & thus it is a uniform motion. Acceleration is zero. Uniform Circular Motion: Velocity is not constant due to continuous change in Direction & thus it is not a uniform motion.

Uniform circular motion relates to the motion along a circular path with uniform speed. Whereas uniform linear motion relates to motion along a straight line with uniform velocity. Here the acceleration is 0,but application of the force is just sufficient to overcome the friction and resistance to motion.
