Water pollution is the polluting of water bodies like rivers,ponds,etc... with chemicals,toxic substances and garbage ,which makes the water dirty and filthy.

Water conservation is the conservation of water bodies from harmful toxicants ,to efficiently use water resources, as clean water is a limited resource.
