differentiate between xylem and phloem​

Xylem transports only minerals and waters from the roots. Phloem transports food materials that are prepared by the green parts of the plants to other parts of the plant. Xylem is the dead tissues at maturity, but no cell contents. Phloem is the living tissue, but not with the nucleus

1.It is a vascular and mechanical tissue

2.It conducts water and minerals

3.It provides mechanical strength to the plant

4.It include tracheids,xylem fibres,vessels

In Phloem

1.It contains tubes but performs no mechanical function

2.It conducts organic solutes of food materials

3.It performs no chemical function for the plants

4.It include Phloem fibres,sieve tubes,companion cells
