xylem_it is also called water conducting tissue its main function is the conducting of water and mixed minerals in water absorb from soil to different parts of the plant
phloem_ the main function of phloem transports product of photosynthesis from the leaves where they are synthesis to other parts of the plant

Difference between xylem and phloem ia as follows.

● Xylem -

  1. It is found deeper in stem tissues.
  2. It transports water & minerals.
  3. In xylem, conduction takes place via trachieds & vessels.
  4. It doesn't require energy for transport.

● Phloem -

  1. It is found superficial in stems
  2. It transports organic solutes & food
  3. In phloem, conduction takes place via sieve tubes.
  4. It requires energy for transport.
