Zoospores are the asexually reproducing structures produced in organisms like Chlamydomonas belonging to kingdom Algae. Zoospores are produced when the organism is reproducing by asexual mode of reproduction. Zoospores later develop into new organisms later.

Zygote is the single cell formed as a result of sexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of male and female gametes to produce the zygote. Zygote is diploid in nature.
