Zygote is the initial cell formed when two gamets cell are joined by means of sexual reproduction. In the multicellular organism, it is the earliest developement stage of the embroy. In the single celled organism, the zygote divides to produce, offspring usually through MITOSIS usually from cell division.

WHEREAS,

Foetus is an developing mammal or other viviporus vertabrate after the embryonic stage and before birth. It is also defined as the unborn young of a vertabrate, after developing to its basic form.

zygote is the starting stage of a baby while foetus is the ending one.zygote is unicellular while foetus is multicellular. ,in zygote gender can't be recognised but in foetus it can be!
