Answer:

in scalar quantity there is only magnitude

vector in this magnitude as well as direction

quantities that obey vector laws of addition and have a magnitude as well as a direction are called vector quantities.

whereas the ones which only have a magnitude and no direction are called as scalar

scalars can be added by normal addition.

hope this helps.

AyeshaHayat: sorry for disturbing u but I really need the answer,I have to prepare for my exam
PSN03: i guess its of no use to now cause u will learn them in 11
PSN03: but still to just brief u bout it
PSN03: scalar can be added by normal addition
PSN03: they need some special rules which are called as vector addition rules
PSN03: this is done by a special branch of maths
PSN03: u will learn this later
PSN03: but the most basic formula is triangular law of vector addition
AyeshaHayat: tq
PSN03: welcome
