The main difference between these two is, dehiscent fruits do not disperse seeds on their own.
Their outer covering is required to be broken in order to disperse seeds and grow.
This can be done by the deterioration or consumption by the animals.
For example, pumpkin, peas, beans, etc.
On the other hand, indehiscent fruits get busted when they dry and seeds are dispersed.
The examples are; cypsela, samara, achene, etc.
